Black Enterprise - National Credit Union Administration2 Rodney E. Hood was recently appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as vice chairman of the National Credit Union Administration. The three-member board is the independent federal agency that charters, regulates, and insures federal credit unions. It operates the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, which insures the deposits of 85 million account holders in all federal credit unions as well as numerous state-chartered credit unions.
